BIGPHIL
Paul Hartley gets to play for Scotland. He replaces Scotlands goal scorer Scott Brown, in the 72nd minute. He is the only City player to make the squad for todays game.

Redminster
Great goal by McFadden. Macedonia look like they've given up at the back though!
slartibartfast
From the time he was on I think he covered every blade of grass, and hardly wasted a ball!
cidercity1987
Radio 5 said he was a great influence and helped calm the game down. Well done Hartley.
HomerRed
He had a decent 20 minutes or so, made sure they kept the ball and played it simple. Perhaps a similar run-out against Holland will have him nicely tuned up for the Cov game. Obviously he will be thinking more in terms of Scotland trying to reach the play-offs. AcciesRobin
He's an excellent player for us to bring on and help see out a game. He isn't of the talent of Scott Brown, Darren Fletcher and a few others but he possesses defensive qualities that they don't. Excellent result for us today but overall it's been a terrible campaign and I think at the end of the campaign we'll be looking for a new manager. As sad as it is to say Burley in charge of Scotland has seen me lose my passion for supporting the national team.
KnowleUtd City
Eh ? Darren Fletcher !! I'd choose Hartley over that over rated talentless headless chicken any day. Hartley saw out the game for Scotland, they needed him for the last 20 minutes - what the hell did Fletcher do in the game ? I can't believe we got Hartley to come here, but I'm bloody glad he did. Whilst Hartley is a good high profile signing for us, If you would choose him over Fletcher for us then I'm glad you're not our manager!
Port Said Red
Radio 5 said he was a great influence and helped calm the game down. Well done Hartley. That was Pat Nevin, my favourite pundit, although there are some of here that will tell you he doesn't know his rear from his elbow....
