Nibor
over an imbecile like Mclaren appointed just because the tabloids demanded an Englishman. P8 W8 GF31 GA5 P24 First time we've qualified with two games to spare. 7 more goals than anyone else in Europe. That's some record. All with the same bunch of players that were apparently celebrity obsessed overpaid primadonnas who didn't care a jot. Can we now accept that rather than more passion what we needed was actually a real manager who was capable of maintaining discipline and focus, organising the team to a suitable gameplan, picking players on form and ability not popularity whims, and above all instilling confidence and calmness? Sometimes it is worth paying top dollar for a winner.

Riaz
Totally agree. We've had the players to be a top class team for a while. Now we have the manager. Bring on the world cup
Gazred
He is a great coach, there is no denying that, you just have to look at his track record. Its great to see an England side now playing more like their continental rivals, i mean their not quite as techinical as Spain for example, but last night from the off and pretty much over the entire campaign they are retaining the ball, pressing hard and moving so well Croatia just didnt know what to do. Seems Capello has managed to mould them in to a excellent unit without losing the "Englishness" as Bilic claimed earlier in the week. Roll on next summer! Barrs Court Red
Last night I had a prfect view of England giving Croatia a masterclass. Ironic that the side who put us on our lowest ebb with their win at wembley, get destroyed by possibly the best England team performance since the 5 - 1 win in Germany.
