Never to the dark side
I'm not gloating on this one as I hoped it would suceed due to my connections with the puffer trains Okay a turn up on the the fare on a saturday to london is 49 quid Rovers are charging 45( and 48) pounds for a direct train to Norwich which I think is good value BUT no discounts for under 16's (one adult and maybe two kids thats nearly 150 quid) no booze permitted They have sold approx half the tickets so may end up with a loss So could the rovers have pushed up the adult prices and made it cheaper for the under 16's? got permission for booze be consumed/sold on the train? I think after starting thier day at 5am and arriving back into Bristol at 10:30pm ish I don't think many travellers would be keen for a punch up they could have taken thier partners who might not like football for a four hour day out in Norwich? The only other thing(in my opnion) that the car has got going for it is you can hear the post match fotball chat Although I would have thought a BBC radio five live could have been piped through the P/A system
slartibartfast
On that subject, WHY was the Evil Post advertising spaces available on this train in what looked like a bona fide news story? Surely they should pay for adverts like anyone else, or is the EP THAT bent!
