Anybody not sure yet about Akinde's abilities take a look at his goal for the reserves yesterday on World.

Excellent first touch (only one needed) for his goal.

IMO akinde should have been given a run upfront with Maynard, especially after his success at Wycombe last season.

Why GJ felt the need to get Saborio on loan which is a huge gamble don't know, and that is not a criticism of saborio who has done well so far but Akinde has great raw talent which will frighten a lot of defenders.

Also, as with Haynes, coming on late in a game would give better option of holding the ball up fronte when defending a 1-0 lead.

Saborio. An opportunity arose, had to make a quick decision and took it. no fault in that..

spot on it's not everyday a international striker becomes available especially in the championship without the bigger teams getting the dirty paws in on the action
