It transpired that he collapsed following a telephone call from Rafa Benitez. It is known that Rafa and Colin are now "glasses buddies". (They both go around with photos of Buddy Holly in their wallets, apparently and regularly practice their next linesman wind-ups). Anyway just before he fell over Colin was telling Nick Carle "Rafa just called".
