Resubmitting Southlands

Don't the Councillors realise that both City and Rovers have been looking at other sites for years (especially the Gash) ?!

For Christs sakes, they were worried about the traffic for Ashton Vale last night, but imagine the chaos on the motorways for home games? It only takes one accident or some crappy road works on the Avonmouth bridge and the whole motorway network grinds to a halt.

More to the point (and more worrying) is that current planning policy guidance is for sports stadia to be easily accesible by a wide range of means, ie not just by car.

The effect of current government policies is to discourage out-of-town relocation of football grounds.

One option (as pursued by BCFC) is to relocate in an urban area within a short distance of an existing ground, thus

satisfying national policies and remaining within the traditional catchment area.
