RedM
(OK, not footie related but I'll move it later.) Traffic I've just been told is chaotic around Temple Meads and causing tailbacks everywhere. I've also been told there is an armed response unit attending so there maybe an incident of some kind. Hope this helps someone avoid sitting in a jam.

Mr Ed
From the BEP website Police are advising motorists to avoid Temple Way after a woman was hit by a car on a main road near the station today. The woman suffered serious head injuries when she was hit by a Nissan Micra near Bath Bridge on a main route into Bristol. The woman, who is aged between 40 and 50, was knocked down at 11.40am. She was taken to Frenchay Hospital and where her condition was described as life threatening. Police closed Clarence Road at the end next to the Peugeot showroom and Station Approach, leading to Temple Meads railway station. Temple Way was at a standstill within minutes of the accident between Bath Bridge and the gyratory system. Traffic coming into the city was diverted into Cumberland Road
