City Fans - Time To Stand Up And Be Counted

Let me start by not beating about the bush. The last 3 home games have been dreadful and many of the ones before that were at best mediocre. We've not been playing well and most of the football has been dire. People have been moaning and they've been well within their rights to do so, although some as ever have gone overboard.

But tomorrow for 2 hours we have to try and put this to one side and all get behind the team. The atmosphere against Reading was pretty awful - if the team was worth 2/10 then the crowd were maybe worth 4/10. Some people will say they have nothing to cheer about and they're right but which came first the chicken or the egg? We cannot expect the crowd to cheer when the team is playing badly, but it is harder for the team to play well when the crowd is sitting in silence- or worse booing.

We've been in a slump but we might have started to turn the corner against QPR. Tomorrow could define our season: a win and the right re-enforcements in January and we could still mount a push for the playoffs. Failure to win and we'll most likely end up in the bottom half and be starting to look over our shoulders.

So tomorrow is D-day and we need to give our all for the team tomorrow and support the team wholeheartedly and absolutely for 2 hours only - even if the game is poor, even if Watford are on top for long periods, even if we're defending too deep, even if our formation is disjointed, even if Johnson makes weird substitutions or plays LJ, even if (most importantly of all) we have a 1 goal lead with 5 minutes left - and we might might just make the difference and give the lads the confidence to save our season.

Remember: WE'RE BRISTOL CITY AND WE ALWAYS BELIEVE!
