Forget The 0-6 Our Financial Position Worries Me More

Last night was bad but how long can we continue to live beyond our means??

IN our play off season we lost nearly 2 million despite good gates and huge gate receipts from the playoff final (after FA deductions the losing team gets all the gate receipts - probably another 2 million)

Last season £6million (£4 million when you take off expenses from the new stadium)

Accumulated losses at the end of 2008/9 season total £17 million (all in the accounts on the web site)

This season weve signed loads of players, gates are down, a few high wage earners have been loaned out, but the wage bill just keeps growing.

How much will we lose in 2009/2010?? 6 million???

WE continue to invest in the Academy - we hold our own against premier league sides at this level and consistantly finish half way up the FA academy league - yet since Skuse none of these players seem to be getting into the first team - instead all we do is buy more players

How much longer can the spend spend spend mentality go on? At this rate we'll soon be having players with squad numbers in the 50s

I know we have a financial wizard for a chairman but how much more can we expect SL to keep baling us out??

Worried fan (since 1967) who travelled 60 miles each way stuck it out for 88 minutes last night still has his free programme and didnt boo or shout abuse at the players or the manager.

It is a big worry, especially considering the amount of forwards - I've lost count of - now at the club. Their wage bill must now be bleeding the club dry. How many forwards does Gary Johnson need ???!!! This season and last we've been knocked out of the cup competitions in the early rounds so that's another means of revenue that's been denied to the club.
