With the older system the picture was better and you could load down the clip and then watch it without problem. I'm trying to follow the instructions given on the site but it doesn't work. luke_bristol Posted January 31, 2010 Report Share Posted January 31, 2010 It is very poor to be honest; on sites like youtube you can load the whole video into the computer's memory cache then watch it, but with Player it will load a snippet of the video, let you watch it, then discard it from memory As a result you need a very fast connection to watch it smoothly, and you cannot skip to a particular part of the video if you wish I only really use it for listening to games now, and I will almost certainly cancel my subscription when I move back to the UK soon Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Why were we allowed to download on World but not Player? And the whole ****buffering**** thing is abysmal. Tommy You could try turning off your firewall and anti-virus while watching streamed video but obviously this leaves you unprotected , but realistically as long as you know that the content being streamed is safe you should be ok - dont forget to turn back on afterwards though. Annoying when I'm on the laptop and the children are making a noise in the house. I have to put my ear to the speakers, so can't see the screen. Annoying.
