cityfan
Different teams bring different strategies to Ashton Gate and with it different formations. I don't think it is our role to offset or counter those formations, but to decide on our own from the outset and set out to rip teams apart. Niave? No I don't think so. We should have our own game plan and we should enforce it whoever we play at home, so Peterborough or Newcastle. That doesn't deter man to man marking of oppostition strikers. We have brought pace into the squad and as we saw again yesterday, when pace attacks the opposition it scares them and creates opportunities for us and mistakes by the opposition. Haynes and Sproule immediately affected the game yesterday and changed everything, including the support from the terraces. So when playing at home for the rest of this season and assuming everyone is fit and not on loan, I advocate that we start as follows Gerken Ribiero Carey Fontaine McCallister Sproule Hartley Skuse/Sno JCR Haynes Clarkson - for now Subs: Akinde - Must be used Maynard Skuse/Sno Orr Elliott McCombe - contentious as many will pick Nyatanga, but JM offers another dimension as we all know Collis - Becaue we simply won't choose Basso or Henderson
