cinker
and he picked a team to lose against Caardiff when we got thumped 6-0 and LJ wasn't part of it but Hartley and Skuse were!!!! The manager was outsmarted against cardiff. They came down the wings everytime
megansdad
But we still have to employ three midfielders to accommodate him. Not a dig at LJ really, but he can't play in a 2 man midfield as Saturday showed. Therefore to accommodate him in the side we loose some of our width. our width didn't do us much good against cardiff or Donnie so dont think it is simply a case of accommodating LJ more of being more solid generally. hinsleburg
Good post!! For me he is way down the pecking order as far as midfielders go....but hey he still manages to be first pick??????????? And we seem to drop Hartley or Haynes to accomadate his selection.....should never be aloud?? was haynes not dropped because he was shocking against donny??? The Casual Connoisseur
Lj needs a work horse besides him in a 2 someone who will do the dirty work, the breaking down, the tracking back, putting his foot in etc. He is a luxury player, without having any massive outstanding qualities, in a 3 he is effective as Skuse and Elliot do the boring stuff for him, if we are to play 3 in midfield then Hartley should be the man to play that role, he's a much, much better player.
