Esmond Million's Bung
Great spirit and a fully deserved 2-0 lead at half time. Unfortunately the loss of Mcallister proved to be the decisive factor in this game. Sno had a mare never held the ball up when he needed to, Too many misplaced passes and should have been sent off. I don't know if he was playing to instructions but I could'nt understand why he played so far up the field, When we needed to protect the defence in middle of the park in the way Skuse did in the first half, Which is where the 2nd half threat was coming from. Sproule yet again proved he is not good enough. However as Millen said i'd have taken a point before kick off. More positives than negatives. The ref was appalling, Gootyearache made Drogba look like mother Theresa in the cheating stakes and the ref fell for it as much as the girly haired one. and a special note the crowd were exceptional. Esmond Million's Bung
Good Points, Sproule don't know your point. I accept he was only on for 10 minutes, But twice he had a chance to hold the ball up relieve the pressure and twice he softly lost possession and put us under pressure. Millen was right to sub Haynes he had run himself to a standstill (very impressive first half) perhaps Hoffmeister would have been a better sub, just my opinion.
