Southgate

Of all the managers touted on this forum I think Southgate would

be the one of the best suited to work long term with SL. Southgate

had a great working relationship with Gibson at Boro. Gibson

from what I have seen seems to be very much like SL, in it

for the long run and not prone to off the cuff and gut reations.

Southgate I am sure would not upset the apple cart too much

and would willingly work with the chairmans long term stratagy.

He would also have very good contacts and experience of

prem football. I for one would not be disapointed with his selection

He also managed to spend a lot of money getting Boro relegated. It's a testament to him that the side have never really looked like they've been serious promotion contenders this season. He has a 'win rate' as a manager of 29%....

So, that's a no from me to the medieval gargoyle lookalike.

Not my first choice, but think you are being a little harsh!! He was not given a chance at boro IMO.

The FACT is Boro were 4th when he was sacked!! Look at them now.......

Not given a chance  He turned them from UEFA Cup Finalists to relegation in 3 years, what more chance does one need?!!
