The following people have all committed treason, and prosecutions were pending. Their crimes are sufficiently serious that they were facing life imprisonment. So Tony Blair and the Queen repealed the treason laws in the Crime and Criminal Evidence Act 1998.

If this country was a true democracy then there would have been a referendum on the EU Lisbon Treaty as promised by Gordon Brown's Government of the day.
