We seem to have a number of players who seldom feature after all. Let's see: Goalkeepers: Gerken- Keep Henderson- Keep Collis- Release Defenders: Orr- Keep Riberio- Keep Fontaine- Keep Carey- Keep Nyatanga- Keep McCombe- Doesn't really seem to cut it at this level these days, but still youngish. Wilson- Keep McAllister- Can still do a job at Left back, but not convinced me lately. Sawyer- Back to Plymouth Edwards- Know next to nothing about. Midfielders: Sproule- Hardly features these days- but showed what he was capable of v Swansea. Wilson- Probably time is up Johnson- Doesn't seem up to it these days Elliott- Keep Skuse- Keep Williams- Seems surplus to requirements, has barely featured this year. Hartley- Keep Artus- Released Sno- Back to Ajax Campbell Ryce- Keep Kington- Released Forwards: Maynard- Keep Haynes- Keep Clarkson- Worth persevering with. Akinde- Not really played all that much. Trundle- Too old, shown not up to it on consistent basis. Styvar- Contract up in summer? Plummer- Released Jackson- Has he even played for us? Agyemang- Back to QPR! Any thoughts? Bottles it too much, not quite doing it McCombe- Sell, simple as Wilson- Keep McAllister- May still be able to play a part for us Sawyer- Need to see him play, but isn't a big signing for us (yet) Edwards- Know next to nothing about. Midfielders: Sproule- Useful Wilson- Leave Johnson- Leave Elliott- Keep Skuse- Keep Williams- Debateable, possibly leave Hartley- Keep Artus- Released Sno- Back to Ajax Shame he hasn't delivered, has potential Campbell Ryce- Keep Kington- Released Forwards: Maynard- Keep Haynes- Keep Clarkson- Worth persevering with. Agyemang- Back to QPR! Our team is about average for this league as it is. A few decent ones in our team (Maynard Hartley). As many on here don't settle for any less than success etc, in bold, I've made my opinion as to if we want to be taken as serious promotion contenders. We need to improve! Does anyone have a list of our players current contract's i.e when they expire etc.. I know Hartley and Elliott have contract's till June 2012, but can't find any info on rest. jfkerton Posted April 19, 2010 Report Share Posted April 19, 2010 The squad needs sizing down, but it's important that if we get rid of players we need to bring in others who are better than them. It would be waste if say we got rid of LJ and brought in Robbie Savage (god forbid!) because they are two players who are identical in play style, but also similar in ability.
