BristolCity1992
This was posted on another site I use by a Blackpool fan: Ok, bear with me on this... ... in the last nine seasons, the team that Bristol City have played in their last game of the season have gone on to be promoted, with the exception of 2006/7, when they themselves were promoted! In 01/02 they played Stoke on the last day and Stoke then went onto win the playoffs. In 02/03 they lost to Cardiff in the playoff semis... Cardiff going on to win them. In 03-04 they lost to Brighton in the playoff final. In 04-05 they played Wednesday on the last day. Wednesday won the playoffs. In 05-06 they played Southend on the last day. Southend went up as champions. In 06/07 they went up in 2nd. In 07/08 they lost to Hull in the playoff final. Last season they played Burnley on the last day. Burnley then won the playoffs. And of course, in their last game of this season they played us. ------------ Thought I would share that here pretty interesting I thought. bernie from barrow gurney
there is probably another list like that for managers who have lost their jobs immediately after playing us, which has often struck me as abnormal.
BCFC_Dan
Umm. I took this fact from here the other day and posted it on another board, from where it was pinched by a Blackpool fan!
Never to the dark side
Maybe a good idea would be to play with ourselves on the last day of the football season and we can guarantee us going up.

sephjnr
Please, not Leeds on the last day.
RedM
Well we always said Holloway was a w***** and it obviously worked for him! Whatever it takes, huh? I did see the stat about teams we played on the last game (including playoff's) being promoted, but the poster only mentioned the last 3 years. I didn't realise it went back that far. If I were a betting person I'd stick some money on our last game when the fixtures come out...or our opponents in the prayoffs:o
RedZepperin
Maybe a good idea would be to play with ourselves on the last day of the football season and we can guarantee us going up. Playing with ourselves might guarantee us going up for a time but eventually we would go down again.
