bernie from barrow gurney
Another good article from the very excellent Sporting Intelligence website. http://goo.gl/TzxR But those numbers are just incredible. Nigh on £1 billion on 27 clubs plus a trickle to the rest of the Football league. What an opportunity we missed back in 2008.

The premier league is nothing without the rest of the football pyramid. Give us more money. My five a side team needs new bibs and last year we couldnt even afford a ruby at xmas! And the turf needs relaying on bristol downs!

NiceRed
But with vastly increased income comes vastly increased costs through wages and transfers in order to (try and) compete. CiderHider
The EPL plays by different rules to the rest of society. Its a play ground for the richest people in the world. In 4 yrs over half the EPL clubs will be owned by Chinese businessmen. I know this will happen.
