sh1t_ref_again
Skysports.com understands Ipswich striker Jon Stead has turned down a move to Bristol City. The 27-year-old forward is widely expected to leave Ipswich this summer having fallen down the pecking order at Portman Road under manager Roy Keane. As revealed by skysports.com on Friday, the Robins made a bid for the forward thought to be in the region of £200,000. But the former Huddersfield, Blackburn, Sunderland and Sheffield United frontman has snubbed a switch to the Championship club, now managed by Steve Coppell. Stead spent a spell on loan at Coventry last season, where he scored twice in 10 league appearances. He had been linked with a return to former side Huddersfield, but a move to the League One outfit never materialised. Stead joined Ipswich for £600,000 from Sheffield United last summer following a successful loan, but only made 22 appearances, finding the back of the net six times.
