City1984
Wish I could bud but all I can see is preferential treatment to a dirty scummy bunch of gypos who wanna be English and will do anything it seems for some success and recognition. Hopes this helps.
Banksy
it really is one rule for 1 and 1 for another why cant the fa and (even though it really annoys me to say it because politics and football shouldn't ever mix) the government get involved for christs sake? if me or you owned a company and owed millions to the tax man the company would be put into administration at very least. cardiff and others seem to get away with the equivalent of saying ' oh sorry cant pay now but if i manage to become a multi millionaire by investing the money i owe you rite now il pay you back' wouldn't happen would it? something needs to be done. Well done to the sheep sha**rs for pulling this off though he is a quality player
Paul Hartley's Beard
HMRC can either demand Baadiff pay them, and if they dont have the money then force them into administration. However me thinks the thought of putting the "welsh team in the english league" is preventing them. As a result they just buy any old bull baadiff tell them; HMRC; We want the money you owe us... BAA; We don't have it, but we can sell tickets and get you it... HMRC; ok that seems fair enough 3 month later HMRC; we haven't got all of your money yet... BAA; Oh well if we win the playoffs we can pay you... HMRC; sigh, ok that seems reasonable... 1 month later HMRC; Right we need the money right now no extensions... BAA; But some randomer Malaysian who has no connections to us what so ever is buying us out, then we can pay you... HMRC; You sure he's gonna buy you out? BAA; ummm yeah why not... HMRC; Ok that fine... have a nice season and don't do it again... i can only assume it went something like that

QuedgeRed
Did they not pay the tax bill in full, hence the lifting of the transfer embargo?
Paul Hartley's Beard
They have "payed" their bills despite owing stupid money to multiple clubs Sunderland for C***** and Motherwell for Paul Quinn i think it something like 2million+ for C***** and 1million for Quinn, there could be others that they owe money too but those are the two that I am aware of... So they still owe millions of pounds to clubs, and u can never trust what they say as their is most probably some money owed here and there... Paul Hartley's Beard
Just been investigating the malaysian owners and the guy with the money is a property tycoon, with resorts, casinos. Is part of a tv station. The reason he is so successful.... his close ties to the politicians. So he like Baadiff stink of fish!!! Obviously something aint right when some random malaysian business tycoon piles cash into a welsh championship team...

QuedgeRed
What happened to the FA's fit and proper person test?? Isn't this part of the problem - they answer to the Welsh FA? (where's executedwolf when you need him?) Also, if a club hasn't paid for past transfer fees, then they should not be able to sign any more players. Simple as. QuedgeRed
If that were the case, there would be no transfers at all. I'm sure Palarse had an embargo for this last season with us being one of the clubs owed (Nick Carle).
The Casual Connoisseur
I think this whole Financial thing with Cardiff has finally killed my love and belief in football. They are doing everything in their powers and beyond to reach the premier league and the financial solvency it would bring, it's unjust and immoral that they should be allowed to face no points deduction or be forced into admin. I don't understand why but it seems someone out there is looking out for Cardiff, it's all very, very fishy. As for the WFA fit and proper person test, just look what happened to Wrexham and Newport County!
Davros
They are still governed by the Welsh FA not the English FA and I think the amount of sanctions the league and impose are limited. So with them it really is one rule for one one rule for the other.
The Casual Connoisseur
Neil Kinock and Rhodri Morgan are both "celebrity" supporters, zero chance of them ever facing any consequences for their over borrowing.

As for the WFA fit and proper person test, just look what happened to Wrexham and Newport County! Same could be said about Cardiff becoming a Test match cricket venue- they got funding from Welsh assembly. As we know, Welse Assembly gets subsidy from State- therefore, they indirectly, got funded by the State, albeit indirectly- to get Test match cricket!! Absurd really, not to mention grossly unfair. The Casual Connoisseur
That's a cracking example. How can Cardiff get test matches over Old Trafford, absurd all one big effort to get more revenue into Wales, Welsh assembly, don't you just hate them. Lrrr
Another thing unfair about the Swalec stadium (Glamorgan for anyone who didn't know) is that like what has been said their indirect funding etc bought them test match cricket. Compare that to Somerset who have been raising money for a long time in an attempt to revampt Taunton in an attempt to make it good enough for ODI. Question was Cardiff City's ground in anyway state funded? would be another example when compared to Bristol City.
lee63
I don't see Bellamy [url=http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3097012/Man-City-ace-Bellamy-trains-with-Cardiff.html]going to Cardiff especially with the interest of Mark Hughes. Paul Hartley's Beard
At the end of the day Baadiff's main aim in this league is to generate money. They will never be able to qualify for Europe via the English League, so if they ever get promoted then they can finish in 2nd-17th place and all they will get is money. They can never try and push for Europe and so at the end of the day they are just in the League to make money. If they went back to the Welsh League they could be playing Champions League football each year, fair enough they wouldn't be able to draw in the amount of players they would now, but you never know till you try. They are sacrificing representing their own country in european football for cold hard cash... sums up the club to a tee
'Orns
I don't see Bellamy going to Cardiff especially with the interest of Mark Hughes. Not when City don't need the money mate. Why let him go to Fulham, Spurs, Sunderland etc when they can afford to loan him out, and subsidise his wages, to a non Premier League team. Would be a great signing for C*rdiff, but quite how it can happen is beyond me.
