fka dagest
Based on today, signing a new left back will not solve half our problems in defence. It isn't right to single out McAllister.
Lack of Action Man
When Ribeiro is fit he starts. Hunt will come good as cover. McAllister has no competition and is past it.
Bris Red
But on todays showing a left back is essential! Thoughts? Still time to see one brought in on loan.. Personally i think that will be the next and final signing after the Stead deal has been completed.
BCFCfan
I believe JCR is a big part of the problem. Weve concede over 2 goals a game with him in the side.
Drew Peacock
I believe JCR is a big part of the problem. Weve concede over 2 goals a game with him in the side. Couldn't argue. Always drifting inside to get on his right foot or going down blind alleys because of his one-footedness. Can't understand what JCR brings to the team. They do not work well together. MacAllister's only saving grace is that he looks better as a wing back. But there are better wing backs & left backs out there. Time we got one! redredrobin5
But on todays showing a left back is essential! Thoughts? 110% AGREE...With carey and ribs coming back, LF move out to left back and Ribs even at RB??? Does Ribs cover RB???
BCFCfan
Ribiero is a right back.

It isn't right to single out McI I think its down to JMc to be honest...Fonts is constantly pulled out of position at CB to cover Mcallister aswell. redredrobin5
Ribiero is a right back. Problem solved then Ribs = RB Carey = CB Stewart = CB Fonts = LB Happy days...just got to stay fit!!!!!
BCFCfan
I's be happy to see that if no new signings come in. Im convinced Hunt will come more than good though.
simonwheeler
On todays showing I would seriously get rid of the whole of the back four. They looked at best shambolic at times and spent to much times arguing amongst themselves. Hunt is clearly not fit, but, even "when" fit I have serious reservations positionally??? Thats three games ive seen him play and every game he has been found wandering and cost us goals? McAllister was dreadful today and appears to be going through a total lack of confidence - MAJOR STYLE. Fonts looks all at sea and Stewart hardly looks a class act??? Probably the worst City back four I have seen in 40 years and yes I count the likes of Forbes Phillopson Masters, Julian Marshal, etc. etc. Sorry NO APOLOGIES. Millie and Wigley have got to sort it out URGENTLY or else we will carry on letting in three or four every game, ex England keeper or no ex England keeper??? xerox6060
Agreed real problems at the back, Carey legend but not getting any younger, Stewart looks ponderous and looks a squad player to me, Hunt is way off the pace, McAlister is past tense, Nytanga just not good enough, only hope is Fonts (and he's struggling) and Riberio (and he's still inexperienced) Great to get Pitman and Stead but we still need a left back, centre back and creative central midfielder. Redland
When we put together a string of good results at the end of last season, when Millen was caretaker manager, McAllister was injured and not in the team. - coincidence?

You think Millen injured him so he didn't have to play him? Hmmm... Let's see what happens in training this week.
Mr Popodopolous
Signing strikers this all seems a bit like john ward and that didn't turn out to good did it?? I was reading an old gatepost from the relegation season the other day, we signed many strikers that year. We should be investing in maybe one striker and one defender perhaps.
