There doesnt seem to be much info about RS about (i'm sure he used to have a wikipedia page, but doesnt seem to be there now). Anyway, does anyone know if this comment is true, and if so, how much we stand to get ?

Robert is yet to appear with the senior squad due to contract stipulations set by his former club Bristol City, requiring Panithinakos to pay them when he plays for the senior team

But, I believe we offered him one and as he's a youngster we may be entitled to something.

Yeah, but isn't there a clause in that where as he has moved to a team in a different country, we get nothing? Isn't that what happened when Ledley left Cardiff to go to Celtic?

Maybe there is something in the relevant regulations concerning age? Stambolziev was on 17/18 when he left us, whereas Ledley was 23 at the time of signing for Celtic. Could be that, as we offered him a contract and he was under 21/23, we are entitled to compensation ?

Anyone out there with intimate knowledge of the regulations ?!

From my knowledge if they are going to another country, regardless of age their is no compo.

what makes it annoying is that when he joined panthanokios last season, he was promptly shipped out on a 18month loan to another greek team, who payed them a 6 figure fee. ANNOYING

it was a shame he left, unfortunately though previous manager felt that all youth players should be offered the same standard terms on their first pro deal with no room for leverage, regardless of their ability. SO SAY, a couple of people within the club did apparently question whether he should be offered more as he was so highly rated by the academy staff but the manager wasn't interested.

Academy boss, Scott left shortly afterwards.

All in the past though, hopefully with Wigley's knowledge of dealing with academy's and Keith willingness to give youth a go, losing talented youngsters for nothing will be a thing of the past.
