Perhaps KM wants an 'old head' in his back four (or at the very least someone to challenge JMcA. for his place). Personally I'd prefer having Fontaine at left back. I was hoping that with the likes of David James coming in with his stature, experience and presence would help with communication at the back, but it's still as bad as ever ! Other than that he defends well, pass well, has great experience and is a fantastic dead ball specialist. I really do think this would be a good move. Everytime I saw him either at the gate or on tele I recall think how dirty he was. Always tugging at shirts giving away needless free kicks! To be fair though if we signed him I would get behind him. It looks like we will sign someone tomorrow, maybe on loan, because Millen has admitted we are attempting to. I would love the Danny Rose link from SS to come true.
