The forum bayed for new players pre season and IMO we have a far worse side than last season. We really only needed a couple,a central midfield playmaker and a left sided midfielder. Monkeh Posted September 15, 2010 Report Share Posted September 15, 2010 Portland, Our defense last season was shambolic conseeding 90th minutes goals every week so that needed to be adress, Orr had one year left so had to be sold in order to get some cash we got stewart as part of that, that left us with one right back in Ribs who was injured so that needed to be adress in came Hunt thats 2 You need 3 goal keeprs in a team people were calling for a new keeper since basso left and most fans didn't rate gerkin so James came in thats 3 Right wing we were strongish sith sproule Campball Ryce and Haynes so we didn't need one but Admoah is proving to be the best bit of business at this club so thats 4 Cisse a class player and central midfielder somthing our fans wanted because according to some Jr isn't good enough (ironically these same fans now want him to start) thats 5 Up front we were weak with only Maynard breaking double figures so Vokes was brought in (6) then got injured so Pitman was brought in (7) We didn't have a targetman with any championship experance so Stead was brought in (8) We didn't have a left wing so Rose was brought in (9) the two irish kids are for the future 10 and 11 right there, Last night was poor and some of the signings are not working out but its easy to say this in hindsight, 9 of the 11 we signed were needed and that is a fact I'm sorry to say wether they can gel or Millen can get the best of them only time will tell but we need to start seeing the best very soon or were in big trouble Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
