March Off This Saturday

Just in case anyone is unsure what is happening this Saturday re the March I thought it would be good to clarify things in case you have not read my comments on the March thread.

The March to the Council House has been called off as the Sainsburys petition will be presented to Lib Dems deputy leader Somon Cook at Ashton Gate tomorrow. The Council House will be shut as its a Saturday and it was agreed by the organisers that it would be better to do the petition presentation outside the ground before kick-off.

Owing to the enormous response to the 2nd petition 'We want a new stadium not a village green' this will not be presented yet as there are still many people who want the opportunity to sign it, especially those without internet access. The time for submissions re the Inspectors report has been extended so it was felt that we need to keep this petition open to maximise the opportunity to gather more support.

There will be opportunity before and during the game tomorrow for those who have not signed to do so and details will be given either pre-match or at half-time. We all have a responsibility to help encourage people to sign the petition as well as supporting and publicizing the clubs 'A City United' campaign.

Despite the disappointing result at Pompey there seems to be a growing sense of optimism amongst supporters this week so lets take that on and get behind the boys tomorrow for our 1st home win. COYR
