I've managed to write off the Mrs' car and need to find out the proper market value of it as the insurance company are taking the piss. Best thing I did was when we had ours totalled was to go online to lots of used car sites and find your car and present them with what it will cost to replace like for like, we gave about 5 examples of garages selling our make model and year with similar miles on the clock.
