Just watching the Villa Blues game on sky, whilst it can't happen this season anyone fancy Rovers in one of the cups for next year?

Bring back the Gloucester Cup start of season, be a good competitive game just before season starts. And a chance for us fans to have some banter.

How about we have a derby when they get in the same league as us? The rivalry between Villa and Birmingham, Man Utd and Man City and Rangers v Celtic etc etc are compelling viewing and excellent atmospheres because the teams are relatively even and they play in the same division. Both sets of fans think they can beat each other and thats what creates the atmosphere.

Nothing beats a league game derby because it means so much more! Cup games as shown in the LDV vans in 2006 are pretty meaningless in the end! Any team can turn up in a cup game and beat anyone in a one off game, the pressure of a league match makes the game 10 times different.

I would like to see see a Bristol Championship derby but I don't think it will be anytime soon!!

For example tonight Birmingham can't beat Villa in the league, they go out tonight get two lucky goals after Villa dominated them and the fans invade the pitch and think they are amazing, brings back bad memories of 2006!
