I believe he's mainly a right back but can also do left back. If Blackburn don't think he's good enough for them then I doubt many other Prem clubs would either and he may have to drop down.. Never sign plays who wear gloves (unless they're a keeper obviously). Seriously though, did you see him get rinsed out by Nani last Saturday? He was 'doing' left back then. If he is not interested in putting in a decent shift for Spurs or Blackburn I don't think he will for us. Therefore it's a resounding no from me. I think you will find he is 'free to leave' rather than free in a monetary sense. I imagine someone will need to part with £5m or something along those lines.
