FanaticRed
I went down the ground yesterday afternoon and the pitch looked totally frozen with nothing covering it! lets just hope its sorted by Saturday!
ciderscoobz
Its not just the surface to worry about, bearing in mind the temperatures we have been seeing its how hard/frozen it is under foot. The grass can be lush and green (not white and icy) but if the soil is frozen solid it wont be played. That being said im sure the grouds staff will do everythng in their power to make sure the pitch is playable. You Redssssssss
madmax
Day and night temps are above freezing from now until Sunday night and the weekend will be around 7c at it's peak in the day. We train in Greville Smyth and I expect to train there Saturday so expect the Derby game to be on. MM

MM Greville Smyth related, any idea why there are no games there on a saturday PM any more, pitches look perfectly playable.
