petehinton
Quality all round today, and Stewart coming in for Fontaine with no issue at all in terms of quality of performace shows our strength in depth. Pitman took his goals stupidly well, Adomah different class. Rose was the only iffy part of the day, played OK, didn't look too dangerous when attacking, but put in some class tackles toward the end. 3 clean sheets in a row for Jamo too! dezgimed
It was not class. First half was poor. Yes, James is class. So is Caulker, Adomah, Stead and Pitman. The rest is not very much for more than £5,000 a week. Were you there? Sounds like you werent. If you were, get your eyes tested. If you werent, belt up. It was an incredible display from the first 30 seconds when Marv should have scored.

Nogbad the Bad
It was not class. First half was poor. Yes, James is class. So is Caulker, Adomah, Stead and Pitman. The rest is not very much for more than £5,000 a week. The first half wasn't brilliant Tommy, but all round it was a very satisfactory performance. A couple of really well worked and well taken goals like today and we can put a very mediocre first half behind us and we'll all come home happy and thinking positively. Albert's 2nd half performance was worth the money in itself, I'd hate to think of a City side without him at the moment. Despite how it may have sounded on the radio I'm sure you'd have been very satisfied if this had been the match you'd chosen for one of your visits to Bristol. SC_Red
So the first half wasen't poor? Both teams were poor and we did not get very much for more than £5,000 x 22 working 1½ hour a week.. its the going rate for players at this level. they just beat a team earning similar amounts and played well. If you want to pay less you'll get worse players and the results will be worse. If thats your vision from Sweden fair enough but you can't comment on a game you didnt even go to. They work more than just playing a match you know?

dezgimed
Radio, wow. If you look at us earlier in the season, and compare to now, it was not poor at all. Dont think I saw a single random hoof up the pitch from anyone, it was a real effort to play on the deck.
petehinton
What makes you think you can give a better judgement. The reporters were there as well I reckon. everyone on here will give you a different opinion and this is mine. We started very brightly, Elliott nearly/should've scored after about 40 seconds, then Derby came at us and the game evened out a bit and there was limited chances for both sides, but it was there to be taken if either side wanted it. Second half we were excellent, Derby played well after our first goal and were fighting hard for an equaliser, but Pitman's second deflated them and it was all us from then on. dezgimed
We are getting better and better and I'm very happy for that. Still an incredible waste of money. Rant over. Oops
I'm always looking forward. If not I would have been dead by now. The thing that grips my s**t mate, is the fact that you find it acceptable to claim to be a City fan and yet you still manage to find something to criticize when we win 2-0. To be fair to you, you're not on your own on here. I just wonder what the lads have to do to satisfy "fans" like you. Justifiable criticism is worthy of discussion, criticism for the sake of it isn't.
slartibartfast
The commentators seems to have been Mate, you may be one of the luvvies on here, what with coming from Sweden, or whereever, but if you post crap, expect to be castigated. The rest is not very much for more than £5,000 a week. And just for the record, Elliott had a superb game today, probably playing as well as he did in his first season with us, if not better, and Ribeiro showed us the benefits of having a recognised right back in that position, and also Skuse was excellent. Bristol_South_End
The first half performance wasn't poor, we cancelled out a team who have been pushing for promotion since the start of the season. We always looked right in it, and so did they. Obviously the goals we scored helped us push on and take more control of the game, but we had an all-round good performance unlike the first half against Leicester where we gave away possession every time we had the ball. I'm sorry, I don't understand. You weren't there, therefore your opinion is null and void. And whats the £5,000 a week thing all about? Economou
you weren't there?! He is right though, we weren't 'class' first half, we were solid, highlight was Marv tripping the ref up. 2nd half we were.
Drew Peacock
Well I was there, and I thought we were class first half and worthy of a lead. You must be joking! We were great for 5 minutes, decidedly second best for the next 20 and ended the half fairly even. First goal was always going to be crucial as in the second half it was an even competitive game between two good teams. We got it, we won. We rode our luck a bit first half, but as the saying goes, the more we practice the luckier we get.

NifflerNomad
Who said we were class??? Oops
If I had time (or could be arsed) I would design a pie-chart to describe my emotions immediately after a City match (home or away). But pie-charts aside, i'll keep it simple. My emotional response is underlined for ease of interpretation. The conclusions are detailed below: 1) City win.------ HAPPY 2) City draw. ---- Disappointed/Satisfied 3) City Lose. ---- UNHAPPY Its not flipping rocket science is it? grifty
It was two commentators and they probably had one of the better views in the ground. I was listening to the commentary and they were both praising city for their performance. Said Derby were unlucky what with the James incident which would of changed the game had it gone their way. You must of been listening to the Derby commentary. Or perhaps the Rovers one. we didn't lose 6-2 you know...

citylad05
We did look solid today, ok Derby had alot of possession and there only worry for us was when Kirs Commons got onto the ball other than that it was eaaaaaaaaaaasy.

Well done Keith and the lads Class or not. We took 3 points today thats the mainthing. In 10 games we lost 2 draw 2 and win 6. The goalscore is 16-9, I think its fantastic. We are not in the relegationzone and can looking up in the table.

Team all fitting together now, onwards and upwards Yes, we played some good football and thoroughly deserved the win but our luck changed when their defender - Roberts? - went off injured and of course - our David James didn't get the red card. Under Gary Johnson we would have been panicking at the end trying to defend. At the end of the Derby game we were actually stringing together passes in the Derby half and running down the 5 minutes of extra time. Technically, Millen is definately a better football manager than Gary Johnson. Given time, Millen and Wigley look certs to take us to the Premier League given the way they've turned around the mess that Coppell left us in. Although, Coppell did sign Adomah and he was a class player against Derby with those precision passes to Pitman.
