luke_bristol
http://news.bbc.co.u...v_1/9264596.stm Adomah put the ball across the face of goal from the right and Pitman converted to open the scoring. Derby dominated thereafterbut only forced James into action on one occasion when Commons' 12-yard shot was tipped over the crossbar. Shaun Barker headed wide and Paul Green had an effort blocked by Damion Stewart. It was against the run of play when Pitman struck for the second time. Adomah slid the striker clear and he beat Bywater from just inside the area. We were utterly dominant from start to finish in the second half! From the 2nd to about the 15th or 20th minute of the first half Derby played some nice tippy tappy passing in midfield and dominated possession but otherwise it was City as well. Didn't go, so not saying you're wrong or right, but , radio Bristol and Sky gave the impression that it was Derby with the posession and most of the pressing without really creating a clear cut chance, and that the 2nd was against the run of play, and the difference was that we had someone who could put the ball in the back of the net. Drew Peacock
http://news.bbc.co.u...v_1/9264596.stm We were utterly dominant from start to finish in the second half! What game were you at? We did a lot of deep defending after we went 2 up. We did it well, and Derby lacked sharpness up front, but we certainly didn't dominate the entire second half. Take off the red tinted specs!
Portland Bill
Derby had 57% of the possession. But they had no cutting edge and we did.
gordie
I thought it was a pretty fair report to be honest, Derby did dominate possession without ever looking dangerous, they played some nice neat football in midfield with Pearson playing well for them, having said that if we had taken our chances we could have scored another couple at least
luke_bristol
Goalmouth scramble at the end from Caulker, turn and shot from Stead, turn and shot from Pitmann, nearly an og from their keeper, a couple of drives (and a scuffer!) from Marv, all good chances from us, what good chances did they have bar the Commons/James incident? Let's not take anything away from ourselves, that's what the pundits do!
