ahh another player from Scotland! Just what we need....another player not good enough to step up to this standard :surrender:

History proves Scottish players have struggled in the past, Miller/Clarkson Etc, but lets not go down the route of criticising a possible signing without seeing them kick a ball.

Norwich were linked with him in November, described as a 'flying' playmaker. I don't gaf how tall he is, I'm liking that description!

Im not. Two words why im not "Falkirk" and "Scotland"

As someone else put, we got to stop looking up there, its a crap standard. Clarkson was talked up as being the next big thing when we signed him, he had scored on his Scottish debut and everything. He is garbage.

Ivan was described as a flying winger to......

Get what you're saying mate, but it sounds a lot better than 'defensive midfielder' to me!

We've picked up some crap from Scotland in the last few years, but KM, so far, has been bang on in his transfers. Put some faith in the guy!

Love the way everyone slags off a player they've never seen!!

Millen's signings so far have been impressive, give the bloke a chance FFS!

He played youth team football for Liverpool, so must have had promise as a youngster. Millen's signings of young players so fa have been good, lets see if it happens first!

Its the Bristol way.

Slag someone off before they have a chance. Say I told you so if they turn out to be poor. Say how pleased you are to be proved wrong if they do well.

People are scared of being wrong so its easier to criticise than to support.

It's more to do with the standard they're coming from rather than their nationality. Sproule's Northern Irish, Flynn was at Liverpool so for all I know could be English.

I wouldn't be keen on us signing players from League Two for this league, Falkirk can't be any better than most of those teams.

Totall agree, signing Albert Adomah from League Two Barnet was a shocking move.

Not to mention

Ritchie

Gow

Sweeney

Gillies

Mann

Who I belive travelled down south together on the train to Join BCFC and then went and put us in top division.........but crap from Scotland obviously

Behave, Scottish football has took a massive dive in recent years. Let alone since the 70's and 80's

Just look at more well known players in recent years to, Kenny Miller and Barry Ferguson. Scottish football is litter. Id much rather go for a young and up coming League 1 or 2 player.

Yeh ok, but I still wouldn't be keen at this point signing players from League 2 or Scotland. There's a lot at stake.

Adomah or Gerry Gow doesn't sway it for me. How about we start Sproule, get Webster and Miller back and everyone moans whenever Clarkson starts - see how we do then.

Seen enough from Jamie Mac over the past few years to realise how shocking the standard is to see him knocking on the national team door.

Charlie Adam was signed from the SPL - so there is some talent there, its just finding it

31 January 2011By David Oliver Sports Editor

FALKIRK have denied a bid has been made for prize asset Ryan Flynn this lunchtime.

Bristol City have been credited with a £350,000 bid for the winger, but at 2.30 p.m. Falkirk sources said no conatct had been made today (Monday).

The price quoted is also understood to be below Falkirk's value of the player.

One player on his way from the Bairns though, is left-back James Bloom.

The Welsh youth international will go on loan to Alloa, where he has spent previous loan spells, until the end of the season.

The Bairns are also waiting on news of another possible target coming into the club.

Wigan have signed James McCarthy and James McArthur from Hamilton in recent seasons, and seemed to have done pretty well for them. Obviously there is some talent up there, so if there was any truth in City interested in Ryan Flynn, I certainly hope he can do the goods down here for City!
