Guest WestburyRed Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 I read somewhere about a City fan struggling from Bridgewater to Cardiff on the trains. I happen to be getting the 10am from Westbury and thought there must be a way for people further West to get to Cardiff without changing at Bristol (not a nice idea!), considering Westbury is a rail hub you just need to plan your journey around here. Anyways... Bridgewater 08:20 - Taunton 08:32 Taunton 08:44 - Westbury 09:32 Westbury 10:00 - Cardiff 11:34 Job done. I went from Westbury last year for the LDV, stupidly easy as you are on the right train from the start and happily don't have to change at Bristol, so you just sit and watch 1000+ trying to get on to the train you already have a nice comfy seat on. Even better is that the 10am from Westbury is a Weymouth train, NOT a Brighton train, so although I'm sure some Brighton fans will be on board, it won't be nearly as bad as it could of been.
PhatWill Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 I'm getting the 7.32am from Portsmouth, gets into Cardiff at 11am. Hopefully same boat as you, watch everyone cram on a 2 carriage train!
