Irishred
The 2011 Gaelic football season started last weekend with the first round of the league. The All-Ireland champions Cork beat Kerry by one point in an excellent game played in Tralee. Dublin were not that impressive in beating Armagh 2-12 to 1-11. Mayo and Down drew and a seriously understrength Monaghan caused the upset of the round in beating Galway by five. My own team Cavan were hammered by Offaly away from home so it looks like another sad year for the once mighty blues. When the league is out of the way the championship gets underway in May and these are my predictions: Munster winners- Cork Connacht winners - Mayo Leinster winners - Dublin Ulster winners - Tyrone All-Ireland winners - Cork What are your predictions for the year ahead? But I think it's quite good.
