Another scum jorno, what do they know about anything below the top 4 of the Premier League?.

I would say he should be aiming that sort of thing at Chelsea, Liverpool etc, etc.

You could be right! Liddle makes a big deal of being a Millwall supporter, though, but to be fair he often indicates that he's hacked off with Prem prima donnas...

Rod Liddle is a once great editor who is now sadly on the slippery slope to nowhere. His politics are pretty nauseating - in public he says he supports the Labour party, but he has been exposed as a nasty piece of work in his postings on a Milwall fans forum.

In January 2010, he was caught making racist and misogynist comments posted under the username "monkeymfc" on Millwall Online. Liddle at first attributed some of the comments to opposition fans logging in under his name to embarrass him. He later admitted he had written some of the posts that were being criticized, including one in support of the BNP excluding Black and Asian people from the party. In another post, he joked about not being able to smoke at Auchwitz

As far as performances go the players have been a big let down !

As far as money goes it's our fault there paid what there paid , we all buy into it , so we all need to except and get over it !

How does that work?, did we vote for their inflated pay packets?, only if you subscribe to Sky can you be blamed for the obscene amounts players are paid.I don't subscribe to that organisation personally, so I don't buy into it.

Ironic isn't it!

A socialist, racist accepting payment for work in a Tory capitalistic rag like the sunday times.

Amazing how some people will prostitute themselves whilst trying to ridicule others.

Apart from free speech, what gives him the right to pass judgement on our players!

Well millions do ! I subscribe to it, but also inflated ticket prices all add to the wage kitty.

We as fans can talk with our feet and our wallet by not going and not standing for these ridiculous ticket prices , but we don't, I don't and a man so opinionated on our team as your good self clearly doesn't !

You have a very naive view my friend. Most clubs now spend over 95% of their income on wages to the players . At a club like ours surviving on very average crowds at an inferior stadium especially given the view that we are quite high payers is totally unsustainable. Our income from ticket sales barely pays for the day to day running of our club over the period of a year and apart from a few notable exceptions ticket prices for football matches are quite easily comparable to other so called entertainments.

A majority of Premier League clubs are not only paying over 95% of their income in wages they are also using the turnover to borrow and spend far more than their income in fact the debt amongst Premier League clubs is increasing at the alarming rate of 3.5billion per year. So you can bet your life that the same thing is happening in the championship, you only have to look at Cardiff who appear to gambled all on promotion to the Premier League to gain the Sky money just to clear their debts.

How many business's could survive paying 95% of their income in wages, it's a joke and one that one day will backfire spectacularly.

ıt's more like 60% of their revenue being spent on wages but the point remains valid. it isn't sustainable

Agree, he is a nasty piece of work. I was surprised to see that he is a Labour party member, as his political views are very right wing at times, sometimes bordering on racist. It just goes to show that prejudice itself does not prejudice. Bigotry is rife across the political spectrum.

Why the **** 'shagger' Liddle thinks he knows about City's performances this year, God alone knows.

Lives in Wiltshire, spends all his time in London, manages to write the occasional column about football despite knowing cack all about it.

I used to work with him... ranting.gif
