Portland Bill
KM just said on radio Bristol that it was a move they work on in training.

Nibor
I liked the way the Radio Bristol commentator got it wrong and pretended it was a poor ball that turned into a good one rather than a training ground move.
cityhead
even scuny were surprised by it judging by the fact that they all stood still. if it was planned then great execution by both woolford and maynard.
Alex_BCFC
There was a collective groan when he hit the ball. For some reason no defenders were in the middle and Maynard finished neatly.
Tom Fleuriot
Agree. I thought that was hilarious. Everyone groaned when he hit the ball, then suddenly cheered when Maynard got on the end of it. Superb training ground move - fooled the entire stadium. JohnM
If my memory serves me right, the same move was used for one of Pitman's early goals.
bs3
To me it was an well worked out move. So I was not at all surprised when KM said it was a training ground move. I think it shows up how little these reporters on radio knows about the game.
Derk94
If my memory serves me right, the same move was used for one of Pitman's early goals. Yea, it was a free-kick not a corner though, i think it was McAllister that played the ball?!
The Bard
The goal showed that man to man marking can sometimes look as s*** as zonal marking. Our main targets got out of the near post area taking their markers with them and Maynard timed his run into the space perfectly. Indicative of a well drilled side whose management look for weaknesses in the opposition and exploit them.
