DaveF
Watching the game last night how many times did the defence pump the ball up high to Maynard? I'm not sure he won a header all game which is hardly surprising given he's pretty short and poor in the air. If we insist on playing tactics like this I really am looking forward to the return of Stead, Maynard need to play on the shoulder of the last man as a poacher not a target man expected to win headers... If Maynard and stead can both stay fit we'll have a very strong strike force, but without Stead we really need to pass along the floor a bit more! Saying that after 4 wins in a row we're now safe and can start building for next season, I'm guessing I'm not the only one who wouldn't mind seeing a few youngsters given opportunities from the bench? Does anyone know much about our academy players? Lennox and Ball must have something about them?
