GrahamC
No seven simultaneous players on loan, no pet FA to overturn your red cards, plus always paying your debts. Fully deserved promotion for a good club with great support who play good football and are widely liked. On the ball, City............

Well done to Norwich indeed, the Bryan Gunn debacle doesn't seem long ago - and of course it wasn't. Amazing comeback, they really struck gold when they appointed Lambert. He's forged a promotion winning team out of what on paper looks like a fairly average Championship side.
bcfcchris2016
Paul lambert reminds me very much like Martin o'neill. The glasses, the tracksuit, his celebrations when Norwich score, and the way he mostly tactically outclasses opposition managers
simonwheeler
Congrats to Norwich. Play the game the right way and in Paul Lambert they have possibly the Manager of the Season. Brilliant Appointment. Just shows what a club "similar" to ourselves can achieve....................................

Just shows what a club "similar" to ourselves can achieve.................................... We should aspire to be like Norwich but I'm not sure we're similar at the moment. They are are a 1 club city with a decent ground, recent Prem experience, have played in Europe (beating Bayern Munich) and once came close to winning the League. They consistently get 20k plus crowds and have a high proportion of season ticket holders. Their manager was a top player (a European champion to boot) and has learned his management trade from the bottom up (somebody compared him to Martin O'Neill in this thread and rightly so imo). Having Delia Smith and Stephen Fry on the board gives them a higher profile than us even when they are a division lower. So not so similar sadly. Clarky89
Will be very interesting how they handle a 2nd successive promotion! Genuinely hope that they can bring in some quality Premier League players without breaking their strict budgets that has led to them being a well run club. Congrats Norwich. Well said...I'll post some thoughts on the Guy Price thread...but in a media age having folk attached to the club with a media profile is very useful. Jake Humphrey at the BBC and Simon Thomas at Sky are both Norwich fans and wouldn't be backward in offering the club support. Norwich always strike me as being at the heart of their community. And they've made an astute managerial appointment.
Nogbad the Bad
And they've made an astute managerial appointment. Looking at their team it's certainly nothing special imo so the coaching, tactics, team spirit, and inspirational qualities of the manager must be. They were very lucky to have Lambert more or less on their doorstep because Norwich is a clear case of the manager making all the difference.
