CS & KM may not have shown him the door, but he's certainly been handed his hat. It looks like the decision has been made early in the season and DJ's rants against our other players may well have taken their toll. The other option is DJ could make a living in the media, thus staying in the limelight. Several lines of thought on this situation. At 41, out of sorts, being left on the bench, I think its a good time to have a career change. James has been in the game long enough to know nothing is guaranteed in football, I'm sure. Him being dropped for poor form is just that, not an invitation to hang up his boots. IIRC Begovic kept him out of the Portsmouth XI for a while, while easily a better keeper than Gerken, James was a better player back then too.
