Monkeh
he hasn't looked up for it against ipswich I thought to myself that he was injured then,
demet78
hope it was an injury cos he would always be 1 of the 1st names on my team sheet for effort alone!
Port Said Red
he hasn't looked up for it against ipswich I thought to myself that he was injured then, Strangely it seemed like his 1st touch had deserted him, not usually the first thing to go when you are injured. Maybe his mind was on not hurting himself even more?
nickolas
I think stead is the most obviously injured player ive ever seen. When hes fully fit he charges around making tackles, gets stuck in, makes good runs and has a good touch. When hes unfit, to me its looks so obvious as he does none of the above very well!! Mendip City
iStead looked great when he first arrived but injuries have reduced his impact for quire a while now. He seems to have gone off the boil wherever he has played...... hope that's not the case here.
dezgimed
Don't agree with the above. He was awesome on the final game last season after coming back from injury and even scored. So hardly fair to write him off after game 1, if he's injured again.
ateyomike
trouble is why oh why do we seem to get sooo many injured players that was the most worrying about pre season not a game went by without an injury

Maybe his mind was on not hurting himself even more? I always find it is - you're just slightly off the pace. Look at Rooney at the last World Cup, his touch was appalling and he was never quite fully fit from the injury he got towards the end of the season. Redland
Bumped this back to the top since I haven't heard that he's injured yet he still doesn't seem to be in the squad. Any one know what's happened to him?
Ron
Strangely it seemed like his 1st touch had deserted him, not usually the first thing to go when you are injured. Maybe his mind was on not hurting himself even more? Agreed, I thought he looked his normal self in terms of unyielding commitment, but a touch off the pace when the ball was played into him. Fleetstreet
The club are worringly quiet on Stead's situation. Millen is often asked about Carey, Stewart, Fontaine in interviews but no mention of Stead - the silence is ominous. Interestingly, there has been no comment in interviews either on Riberio coming through the last two reserve matches seemingly unscathed. C'mon media department. Give the paying public some service - the local newspaper does not have the gumption to keep on top of these stories.
