94th Minute
Always seen it after international games, and I can understand it in that case. Many players might only have 10 or so international games in their career, so to have a memento of each one would be something special. However just seen the highlights of the Leicester game, where the camera picked up the opportunistic shot of Maynard with a blue shirt, is this becoming common practice at lower levels for all games, if so, why? They play at least 20 games a season over a 10 year career say, that's 200 shirts of other players from essentially meaningless games. Does anyone know if its common practice to then throw the shirt back into the other teams kitbag following the game, otherwise who is responsible for footing the bill of a new shirt for 46 games a season. BITW
Maynard said he swapped with Peltier because they're good mates. I would imagine swapped shirts are always kept.
Ron
I think they're kept, purely on a vague memory of reading a BBC News report a few years ago about a player's house being robbed, including some shirts from other teams down the years.
