Roger Red Hat
Made a classic Gerkin point blank save, but his distribution is awful.
2015
Made a classic Gerkin point blank save, but his distribution is awful. I have to disagree with you again, his distribution isn't great, but is a lot better than James' distribution.
slartibartfast
Made a classic Gerkin point blank save, but his distribution is awful. I'd take poor distribution over good distribution, but butter fingers, any day.

forevered
yeah top stuff from deano! waited for his chance and today proved he is more than capable. as a huge DJ fan slightly disappointed..but he was out-of-form. COYR

EXETER RED
I thought gerkin did very well today, There must have been some pressure on him playing at home and some people waiting for him to have a cock up. but fair play he did well, and the back for seemed more relaxed with him behind them. The hand of RO'D
I thought he played well today, but was a little hessitant to come collect the ball in the first half, I can only put that down to confidence. Good solid performance none the less
Nibor
Couple of good saves, the point blank once was ace (it was straight at him but you can't ask more) one very good take in the air too under pressure. Made two fairly significant errors of judgement not unlike those James made against Ipswich but wasn't punished for them. Unremarkable either way IMO. Alex#40
I thought the reaction to Gerken was a tad over the top. Considering that he was anything but faultless at Leicester he got a reaction like something usually reserved for a returning war hero. He showed again today that he is a good shot stopper but struggles with the other elements of his game like commanding his area and distribution. I'm glad people make him feel wanted and I'm not totally against the change but IMO the level of hysteria over 2 run of he mill 6/10 performances has been ridiculous, and so has the criticism of James. Taz
I wasn't there, but maybe the reaction was more because James wasn't playing?
Red-Robbo
My reaction to gerkins is that I like them on burgers. My reaction to Gerken however is that he did the job well enough to ensure he retains his place in the team. Needs to work on claiming balls in his area but generally had a good game, the defence was clearly more confident with him behind them.

BCAGFC
Deano's distribution was excellent 1st half, 2nd half he tired but still made some outstanding saves today. Fully deserves his place at the moment. BCAGFC
Mr Popodopolous
the defence was clearly more confident with him behind them. This. That must be a key part of it given the goals against in the first 2 games vs the goals against in the other two. It's pretty much the same personnel also. Clean sheet today, definitely that point blank save- great stuff.
