Fodbarmyarmy
I reckon the arrival of a new manager now means we will sell NM ASAP (jan?) Whoever comes in will most likely be told to forget NM in any plans they have Possibly good thing in the long run?
nickolas
Or it could mean he stays cos we might appoint a manager who actually has a clue!!
boadle
'New guy will want cash...' Aren't we being a little presumptious here? It could be a woman.

Guest
That assumes a club that NM wants to go to will make a bid for him.

Slave to the rhythm
It also assume another club will want him! He could always join Clarkson at Brentford.
mcbcfc
It might mean the opposite, a manager with enough attacking intent playing Maynard to his strengths my be enough to convince him to sign a new contract. I have said many times why would Maynard want to sign a new contract with the thought of having long balls humped up to you for the next 3 years
Steve Watts
Even if it was Hope Powell? Although it'll never happen, why not? She has managed at the top level of the women's game, so has tactical know-how. Any reason why she shouldn't be a success in the mans game? If she was a bloke, her experience would not be dismissed so easily Disclaimer - I am not advocating appointing Hope Powell, but interested to see what pc reasons people can come up with to not consider her!
