norwichrobin Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 young, ambitious, winner, contacts in the game, someone will take a chance on him outside the prem and he will do well i think (another poyet type) so why not us? Not as silly as it seems, think he would lift our profile and put a few bums on seats too. what you think? with an experienced older low profile coach as a number 2...ctid
Brizzle Jordan Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I think he's said management isn't for him and he's now on ridiculous sums of money at Sky so i think he should stay there tbh.

Chivs Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 ARGGHH FFS, NO!!!! I think that's not putting it strongly enough.
Pederho ll Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Come back Keith, we were only joking, 4-5-1 at home is is tops!
Guest bobadis Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 though my David James post was bad (maybe) but a def no thank you to Neville (friends with becks though)
Murraysrightplum Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Why do people want unproven managers at our club. We've tried it. We need proven quality at this level. So no
Guest RedTilDead Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 See below, original was posted prematurely...
Guest RedTilDead Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Gary Neville? Seriously? Have you seen him try to operate that bit of kit on Monday Night Football? It's like watching my old man try and send a text. No experience, either as a manager or of the Championship. With the situation we're in I don't feel we can really afford to take a punt on someone.

HAVE A DAY OFF MATE
Northern Red Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 It's a no from me. And anyway, why would he want to swap a nice little earner at Sky where he works no more than 3 days a week, for the stresses of a relegation battle?
Brizzle Jordan Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 With all these stupid suggestions floating around I can't believe we havn't had a Michael Owen Player Manager one yet It's still early days...
Greedo Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Really like and respect the guy (in the minority I know) but now's no the time for us or for him.
The Casual Connoisseur Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I like him on sky, the fact that he retired this season means his thoughts on players and clubs are usually not only based on personal experience but his knowledge of the game and other managers tactics is ridiculously insightful. IMHO he's a great addition to sky football.
cityfan Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Shearer wants a job http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3851498/Alan-Shearer-I-wont-replace-Fabio-Capello.html
Red Ferret Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Shearer wants a job http://www.thesun.co...io-Capello.html He can mow my lawn for £10
WellRedPhil Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Really like and respect the guy (in the minority I know) but now's no the time for us or for him. This. Why so many people hate him I've no idea. A passionate player who genuinely loved his Club. He'd die for that red shirt and that's something that's all too rare these days. As for calling Phil Neville a c ** t, well quite frankly that beggars belief. Well respected in the game by many and universally known to give his all at all times.
