Gary Johnson Has His Say

If Johnson is referring to the fact that us, the fans, have more power than the club would like... Well then I'm pleased we have power. it's OUR club. Ideally, it would be run by us, the fans. Much like Ebbsfleet United.

no he's not he's saying once fans turn on you its only a matter of time your out of a job,

Nothing to do with fans power

Maybe. He says so something like "once the fans turn it can be very hard to run the club the way you (as in the board) want." So if they're not running it the way THEY want, who's way are they running it?

Gary Johnson has told talkSPORT he is not surprised Bristol City decided to part company with manager Keith Millen, claiming his position had become untenable.

The Ashton Gate club sit rock bottom of the Championship having managed just one win in their opening ten games of the season, and following a 5-0 defeat to Blackpool at the weekend it was announced that Millen's contract had been terminated with immediate effect.

And Johnson, who managed City for five years leading them to the Championship play-off final, reckons that the discontent among supporters about results meant that Millen was increasingly unlikely to turn the club's fortunes around.

He said: "I don't think it was a shock to be honest. They were bottom of the league and there was a mass discontent amongst the supporters and once it gets like that it almost gets untenable.

"It certainly makes it very difficult for the manager to manage and for the club to run their business how they would like to.

"Steve Lansdowne who is the major shareholder was the chairman and he is very patient with his managers and he backs them."

Nothing to discuss really as its all true

it's all Lee's fault...

No, not worth discussing. Gary Johnson always had a great gift for stating the blinding bloody obvious. As I remember it Gary left after a bit of a shoving and posturing match in the half-time drssing room at Home Park. And he wasn't arguing with fans in there.
