BerkeleyBAred Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 With no money to spend, and nothing to prove - does David Moyes need a high risk challenge to demonstrate his pedigree to manage one of the big 4? This guy is the Scot I want at AG ....... Dreaming I know!

Dolman_Stand Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 I would imagine he is worth more to Everton than most of their players!!
Guest red and breakfast Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 I posted this a couple of weeks ago. Happy for this to happen. I am on the Martin O'Neill bandwagon right now but believe we should go balls out for a top notch manager who is going to inspire, motivate and attract talent. Some may say pie in the sky - wanting a top manager is no more pie in the sky than expecting us to be a PL club in the next couple of seasons, and getting that top manager makes challenging more of an unrealistic reality!
BerkeleyBAred Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 The board needs to make a strong appointment. The team has little confidence and needs a motivator. Also needs to inspire us, the crowd. AG has become a "library". A weak appointment will see 10,000 crowd against Posh, no inspiration no vocal support and destiny in Div 1. Aim high I say. Or forget the stadium and step back where our history says we belong. Speculate to accumulate. Not the time for an unknown, unproven, or journeyman.

And no more pie in the sky than, say "Nicky Maynard is worth at least £12m"... as we heard a few months ago...
Spike Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I think Moyes is a more likely successor to Alex Ferguson than our next manager.
Guest iWurzel Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Some of the drivel posted on here lately, oh dear. The fact that some fans think we have the ability to attract a Moyes or O'Neill literally beggars belief.
CotswoldRed Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I'm sure he'd love the job - if we were already in the Prem.

Part of this clubs problems are fans with unrealistic expectations who clearly dont know their own club.
Guest iWurzel Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I'm sure he'd love the job - if we were already in the Prem. And were even one tenth as good as Everton!
August West Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Really hope not - my son's an Everton fan. He'd never talk to me again...!!
