Port Said Red Posted November 17, 2003 Report Share Posted November 17, 2003 I missed some of the commentary around halftime on Saturday and was wondering why Butlers name suddenly cropped up in the 2nd half. I gather Wooman was taken off, but why? The commentary team were full of praise for the way the defence was coping on the ground and in the air, so why mess with it? Danny sees Matt Hill as a more defensive left-back than Craig Woodman (quite rightly in my opinion) and wanted to shut-up shop in the second half. I think a few of us would have been upset if a decidely off form Butler had come in and screwed up a 1-3 lead, so it was certainly brave of him. But when does he have a bad game? I sort of understand what your saying (I think). I Think Carey is a good player at this level, but if we went up, we should look to replace him.
