Guest Ashton Great Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Was it as far offside as it seemed? Haven't seen the replays yet but in real time it seemed absolutely ridiculous as Fonts was off the pitch and there was no other defenders anywhere near Burke! Think the Lino dropped a b*****k with that one, not that it made any difference in the end.
BCFC Jordan Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Miles off unless I'm blind. Looked like Fontaine was about to punch the linesman.
bringbacktherobin Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Looked like Fontaine was about to punch the linesman. Would of been funny if he did.
sirscrumpton Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Even though Fontaine was off the pitch he still counts as active. So he could still play their player on despite not being on it.
Guest Ashton Great Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Even though Fontaine was off the pitch he still counts as active. So he could still play their player on despite not being on it. That can't be right can it?
Rob k Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Even though Fontaine was off the pitch he still counts as active. So he could still play their player on despite not being on it. Are you sure? I thought you were only active whilst on the pitch, hence why injured players roll off the pitch so not to play the opposition onside??
COACH2 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Yes the player is active so could have played the Brum player on side. BUT I have seen the goal on Sky and it was a shocking decision,
Kenn Loyal Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 The officals are shite, week in, week out, but it will never change.
italian dave Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Pretty immaterial though as we were never going to get one back at that stage. It's a pity that Fonts, and one or two others, didn't show the same passion and energy for winning the game as they did for arguing with the officials.

My thoughts exactly, piss poor effort from a bunch of clowns apparently so eager to impress the new boss.
Alex_BCFC Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Thought ref had a good game today. Not sure how linesman missed that one today though...
mcbcfc Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Thought ref had a good game today. Not sure how linesman missed that one today though... Other than the time wasting, not booking the bloke who shoved Maynard and failing to spot that every time the ball was pumped forward their centerhalfs had two hands in the back of our strikers, the Lino hardly helped tho
Sargent Pepper Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 While on the subject of rules, is the 6 second keeper rule still in? A few of us we're having a debate today
Alex_BCFC Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 While on the subject of rules, is the 6 second keeper rule still in? A few of us we're having a debate today Doesn't exist anymore I think. He booked the keeper for timewasting and added on a lengthy amount of time so can't really fault the ref for that.
terpin Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Indirect free kick is still in the laws for the keeper holding onto the ball for more than six seconds.
terpin Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Are you sure? I thought you were only active whilst on the pitch, hence why injured players roll off the pitch so not to play the opposition onside?? He is still active to avoid the situation whereby a player steps off the field to play a player offside. Unless he is given permission to leave the field of play from the referee he is considered active.

oldstandrobin Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 The sort of decisions that always go against you when youre at the bottom of the league. Couldnt agree more, I was in the Williams in line and he was clearly offside.
