CiderSomerset
We drove past the accident on the M5 just after it had happened on the way home from training for the fans derby. Horrendous sight to see, the wife and my lad are very shook up. I spent 18 years in the fire service and have never seen anything like it... The reason for posting this is that Elfmud (Tim) didnt pass the scene before the motorway was closed, so is stuck there for the night... He is safe and well, but in for an uncomfortable night. Thoughts are with the emergency services involved in the rescue, the people involved and the unfortunate people who have lost there lives tonight (and their families). Some things are more important than football, we all need to remember that at times...
BcfcAllen
26 vehicles have been involed in a horrific crash on the M5 and as a result there has been a closure from junctions 23 to 26 for both directions of traffic expected to last for 24 hours. Could affect some of you travelling down for the game tomorrow so just thought i would make it known although im guessing everyone already probally knows about it. Red-Robbo
Horrific scenes on the news. Sobering stuff indeed on a stretch of motorway I drive very frequently, but have always hated. Huge sympathy for those affected by this tragedy.
Crimson Crayola
Jeez! Just seen the news, I'm in Taunton tonight and think I must of missed this by 5-10 minutes, there was a hell of a lot of fog around junctions 23-25! Best wishes to everyone involved. The highways agency have said it will be closed for 24hrs so the A38 is going to be rammed!
The Casual Connoisseur
Up to 9 people feared dead according to 1 report, really hope this is not true, puts football into perspective really. Stay safe people.

Presumably happened so quickly and sadly it does appear as though people have lost their lives. REALLY does put things into perspective and but for the grace of God.................... Avalonred
My wife was on her way home from Taunton, she works at Musgrove Park Hospital, luckily she comes back along the A38/A361 so missed it but did see the lights as she crossed the bridge over the motorway, must have happened a few minutes before. Very sad day.
Dastardly and Muttley
Thoughts with the families and friends of those who lost their lives or were injured. Sobering images on the news and a reminder of, as the OP says, things that are more important than football. R.I.P. to everyone who lost their lives. CornishCity
Just seen this on the news, shocking pictures makes us realise just how lucky we are sometimes as things like this can happen at anytime and are beyond our control. Thoughts are with the family's of those involved and also those who had to witness this. R.I.P
