"There has been much debate over the past

couple of weeks about the validity and fairness of the play-offs. Last

week I refereed my first play-off match at Ashton Gate. Despite my

refereeing experiences around the world I cannot recall a greater

contrast between players than at the final whistle, Bristol City who

had scored two late goals to qualify were ecstatic while all connected

with Hartlepool were in despair. The noise within the stadium when the

two home goals went in was incredible and compared favourably with a

full Nou camp for a Champions League quarter final."

Let's hope we can recreate the atmosphere from last week on Sunday!!

Graham Poll really has gone up in my estimation following his comments.

To often premier league referees feel the nationwide leagues are beneath them and make snide comments like the guy we had at Swindon away (Name fails me!)

It just goes to show how the crowd can make a difference though!

top man , shame we cant get more people to now join in with chants through out the game and not just when we score , ive watched the recording of the game many times now , and once we had equalised i noticed fans through out the dolman chanting and singing , not just Block B , so i wonder why they cant be more vocal throughout , it showed they knew the words but its beyond me why someone would just rather be sat in silence for the whole game :)
